New Bedroom

Happy new year everyone! I know, I know. It’s a month late for such greetings. But this is the first post of Catfish News in 2018, and we’re only 7 weeks into the year, so it’s still as fresh as it can get.

I haven’t been taking on many bookings at Catfish Studio due to some redecorating. In September 2017, I introduced the new studio space in the garage, which I have been tidying up to make it look more like a photography studio, and less like a garage. The space always been workable since it was made, and is still very much available to use. Improvements are currently being made to make it more accommodating for photographers, models, and make up artists to use.

What I really want to bring to your attention is the bedroom setting. The bedroom has been one of the most widely used rooms at Catfish Studio, and it’s been great seeing some the shots taken here. But, there were a couple of things I started to notice about the room. The upper parts of the wall were getting black, as if it had been caused by a fire (I promise you, there have been no fires here), and the carpet was looking tired and worn. Not to mention it was blue, which didn’t really feel like the right colour to use for a bedroom setting in a photography studio.

Now, the walls have been painted and new carpet has been fitted. The bedroom looks so much lighter with all of that natural light shining into it, and feels a lot fresher.

I really can’t wait to see how everybody’s photos are going to start looking in the bedroom in 2018.
